About The Project

The Last Forests Project is devoted to the documentation and preservation of the last great underwater kelp forests. Our mission is to be the eyes and voice for the forests that we cannot see fall, and create a feature length film and photo anthology to document the beauty of the kelp forest ecosystems around the world, and the people affected by their decline. Through photography, writing, and film we hope to inspire change in our coastal communities, and create a legacy of ocean activism.
