LFP and our Initiative

Writer's picture: TheLastForestsProjectTheLastForestsProject

Although climate change is a massive issue, and contributes to the deforestation of kelp forests around the world, we find that focusing only on the daunting issue of climate change can lead to burnout in the environmental activist community and the greater public. It is for this reason that our film will be highlighting the varied nature of kelp deforestation, and the many ways in which we can take direct action to help. Teaming up with non profits that are attacking the issue head on, we want to push for change, and enable future generations to see our California kelp forests as they once were.
