New Emergency measure put in place on North Coast

Writer's picture: TheLastForestsProjectTheLastForestsProject

A new emergency measure has been put in place at Caspar Cove in Mendocino. The measure will allow the in-situ culling of purple urchins on the reef, and hopes to concentrate the recreational efforts to limit urchin grazing pressure in Northern California. Follow Reef Check California and Waterman's Alliance Purple Urchin Removal Efforts on Facebook for more updates and reporting techniques for the culling of purple urchins in Caspar Cove.
